Understand how science and physics look at ocean waves with our "Introduction to Surf Science" course. ​The course takes about 2h to complete.

 

Course content:

 

Module 1: Earth's weather drivers, atmospheric processes, and the creation of winds.

 

Module 2: How energy is transferred from the atmosphere into the ocean, creating waves.

 

Module 3: Swell is different than surf, or conditions at the beach. This module covers the transformation of swell into breaking waves on the shore.
